“Letter from Exile”

Diario

Venezuela , my country … It was land of refuge for exiled million people in past wars , that is the reason that one of my last name comes from Itali . Venezuela was long before the door to America for Europeans. When my ancestors discovered oil , everyone had a benefit from it , even now many still have benefits … Now , at this point , we need the world , we need help , we need the rest of the world see what is happening , that political leaders take action about what is happening . Are our human rights which are violating … Is there any logic applies at the moment? Many think that this war is not theirs , past wars were not ours , and we receive thousands of ships from around the world , today the government of Nicolas Maduro , makes more difficult day after day that people leave the country, forcing them to live in a country full of insecurity , scarcity, insanity , and inflation plunging currency every day.

I write from exile , I was fortunate to go in search of a better future. Today I really do not know what is worse , have a better life watching as my country is destroyed, or go back and battle the war is also mine …

If you’re going to make fun of me, go ahead, surely those who are going to enjoy today’s concert … And to you who are struggling, I have no words to acknowledge your courage, forgive my cowardice, I’ll walk you from here, I’m sending blessings, good energies, and if you let me get back to the country that you win, I promise to build one better by your side …
